IMPROVEMENT OF ACCURACY OF LIQUID LEVEL DETERMINATION IN WELLS BY ECHOMETRY ON THE EXAMPLE OF CHUTYR-KIENGOP FIELD

 

Annotation. During the development of an oil field it is necessary to control the operation modes of producing wells. If a telemetry system is not installed in a producing well, bottomhole pressure can be determined only by measuring the fluid level in the well. However, the echo sounder measures the return time of the elastic vibration wave, and the level value is a recalculated value. The propagation velocity of a sound wave depends on the elastic properties of the medium and can vary. This work is devoted to revealing the functional dependence between the velocity of sound and downhole pressure on the example of the Chutyr-Kiengop oil field of the Udmurt Republic. The method of approximation of experimental data was applied. In the course of experimental data processing the character of nonlinear dependence of sound velocity on annular pressure is confirmed.
