APPLICATION OF «NANOTECHNOLOGY» IN MICRO- AND NANOMECHANICS. POSSIBLE APPLICATION AND LIMITATIONS

 

Annotation. Judging by the information abundant in the Internet [1÷7] it is close to impossible to list all the spheres of application of "nanotechnologies" which influence considerably the scientific and technical progress and are called "global" in some primary sources. We have already named some of them in previous articles. These are engineering and microelectronics. However, we noted that in both cases, the term 'nanotechnology' is not always used correctly. From a formal point of view, this seems to be correct if the dimensional characteristics of 'nanoparticles' or 'nanoelements' from which the product of 'nanotechnology' is made are meant. But it should be understood that, both in mechanical engineering and in "microelectronics", the grounds for the development of "nanotechnology" were formed long before the concept of "nanotechnology" itself emerged. In this paper we intend to discuss the possibilities of using 'nanotechnology' in micro- and nanomechanics, including the creation of molecular motors, nanomotors and nanorobots, and determine to what extent it is valid, from our point of view.
