Annotation. The properties of the soil obtained from the tap water sludge of water treatment facilities have been studied. The newly developed technology of obtaining soil from peat mass, sand and water-pipe sludge dewatered with cotton dust is described. The developed topsoil is intended for green planting, landscaping of road shoulders, sports grounds, backfilling of solid municipal waste landfills, creation of fortifications on the banks of rivers and lakes, as a protective layer of soil. The developed soil is able to expand the range of plant-nutrient mixtures. Its main feature is the use of available raw materials and easy preparation.
