APPLICATION OF CARBON NANOPARTICLES FOR WASTEWATER TREATMENT
Annotation. The article deals with a new technique of obtaining colloidal solutions of carbon nanoparticles. Electrochemical method allows one to synthesize spherical carbon nanoparticles with sizes from 1 to 100 nm and concentration up to 400 ppm. The presence of carboxyl groups on the surface of the obtained carbon colloids allows achieving exchange capacity up to 7.4 mmol/g. The paper considers the process of metal ions (Zn, Ni, Cu, Sb, Co, Cd, Cr, etc.) removal from wastewater samples using synthesized carbon colloids.
