META-ANALYSIS OF STUDIES ON THE USE OF SORBENTS FOR OIL SPILL RESPONSE ON WATER

Annotation. This study analyzes the methods of oil spill response on water surface. The classification of sorbents, according to various characteristics such as properties and chemical nature of the material, is given. A wide range of different sorbent materials for oil spill response is presented and classification of sorbents according to different criteria is discussed. A bibliometric analysis of data on oil sorbents has also been carried out in order to determine the trend of this topic. A new concept of research synthesis has been applied, which combines systematic mapping with bibliometric analysis. New approaches to research synthesis have been used, which help to illustrate the evolution of research over time and to identify areas of current research interest, as well as the effectiveness of institutions and collaborative models.

Keywords: oil, oil spills, sorbent, oil sorbents, oil spill response, network analysis, bibliometric analysis.
