THE RECYCLING OF CONTACT NETWORK SUPPORTS AS A SOURCE OF SECONDARY MATERIAL RESOURCES
Annotation. The results of the analysis of the possibility of secondary use of crushed stone and scrap metal formed during crushing of the failed contact network supports are presented. It is shown that the problem has become urgent for JSC «Russian Railways» in connection with the end of the service life of the overhead supports. As an example, the work of a crushing plant at the Khrustalnaya station on the Sverdlovsk railway is considered. The negative consequences of the installation were determined: difficulties in removing the defective support to the crushing site, high noise levels when crushing the support, increased dustiness of the air during the operation of the installation. Measures are outlined to eliminate the negative consequences of the installation.
