THE REGULAR REGIME'S INVESTIGATION OF THE 3RD SORT IN THE SYSTEM OF CONTACTING BODIES WITH A HEAT SOURCE IN ITS CENTRAL PART WITH THE AIM OF DETERMINING THE THERMAL PROPERTIES OF MATERIALS

Annotation. The regular mode of the 3rd kind (the method of periodic heating) is a general physical method for studying a wide class of phenomena that manifest themselves primarily in the behavior of thermal properties (see, for example, the works of L.P. Filippov and S.N. Kravchun). The method, including, is widely used to study the thermal conductivity, thermal diffusivity and heat capacity of solids. In our works, we have previously considered schemes for the process of heat transfer in the system of three contacting bodies, the sample under study, which is enclosed between two semi-limited reference bodies.
The article proposes a new scheme in which a sample of a cylindrical material under investigation is placed between two semi-limited bodies with known and equal thermal properties, and the periodic heating is set in the central part of the sample. In this case, the lateral surface of the system of cylindrical bodies is ideally thermally insulated and in this system the process of heat propagation along one spatial variable is realized. The proposed scheme greatly simplifies the well-known mathematical models. A new algorithm for solving the inverse problem was constructed: determining the thermal properties of the sample under study from temperature measurements in the reference body. Based on a comparison with experimental data, the effectiveness of this algorithm is shown.
