ENVIRONMENTAL FESTIVAL AS THE METHOD OF THE INFORMATION AND EDUCATIONAL WORK WITH THE POPULATION

Annotation. The article shows the experience of the organizing and conducting an environmental information and educational festival on the issues of separate waste collection and responsible consumption to eliminate waste at the stage of products purchasing. The purpose of this eco-festival at the university is information and educational work to form the awareness of the UdSU students and workers to do separate waste collection. The paper tells about the collection of the secondary raw materials and their transfering to recycling enterprises. The analysis of the regulatory framework in the field of waste management and the introduction of an separate waste collection system in Russia and Udmurtia, in particular, has been carried out. The form of the festival is considered as a method of getting the population to understand of the ecological culture. The program of the ecological festival «UdSU separate» includes Responsible Consumption. The relevance of the introduction of separate waste collection in Udmurtia is due to the requirements of the Territorial Waste Management Program adopted at the end of 2019, the increasing need in informatization of the population about the rules of sorting waste and about waste recyclers in the region. The Eco-festival is also a form of realizing the creative potential of volunteers and youth who take part in its organization and conduct.
