Annotation. Sustainable development of society is unthinkable without solving two interrelated tasks: environmental protection and the involvement of waste or so-called «secondary» natural resources in the economic circulation. The country has laid the foundation for the formation of a new branch of the national economy - the waste processing industry. The emergence of this industry also requires the training of qualified personnel who are familiar with modern legislation on environmental management, who know the best technologies used in waste management, who are able to plan, organize and conduct production and research activities in this area, who know how to optimize environmental safety and opportunities. obtaining marketable products from waste. In this regard, for students of higher educational institutions, as well as for a wide range of engineering and technical workers in various industries, the textbook «Handling production and consumption waste» is offered. The structure and content of this book is considered.
