MAIN SOURCES OF CONTAMINATION OF BOTTOM-HOLE ZONE OF TERRIGENOUS AND CARBONATE FORMATIONS AND POSSIBLE WAYS TO ELIMINATE THEM
Annotation. During the operation of oil and gas wells, the permeability of rocks in the bottom-hole zone may deteriorate sharply due to clogging of pores with paraffin and resinous deposits, as well as clay particles. Improving the condition of rocks in the bottom-hole zone of wells is possible by artificially increasing the number and size of drainage channels, increasing the fracturing of rocks, as well as by removing paraffin, resins and dirt deposited on the walls of pore channels. Chemical methods of exposure give good results in weakly permeable carbonate rocks. In particular, clay acid treatment is a successful and technologically advanced solution for the purification of PZP.
Keywords: deposit, bottom-hole formation zone (PZP), clay acid treatment, acid, terrigenous reservoir, porosity, permeability, swelling of clays.
