HAZARDOUS AND HARMFUL PROPERTIES OF COAL DUST AND A DEVICE FOR ITS SEPARATE COLLECTION

Annotation. The paper deals with the hazardous and harmful properties of coal dust, formed as a result of technological processes at coal-fired power plants, coal terminals, charge preparation shops for metallurgical production. A consequence of the impact of coal dust on the environment is an adverse environmental situation and occupational diseases of workers. In addition, explosive and fire hazardous properties of coal dust, if the safety rules are not followed, can lead to emergencies and accidents. For separate dust collection, the installation is proposed in the form of a system of coal mixture supply to the conveyor lines and storage chamber. The mixture separated into fractions can be converted into coal briquettes for further use as energy raw materials.

Keywords: coal dust, explosion and fire hazard, occupational diseases, prevention, dust collection, dispersity.
