THE CUURENT SITUATION OF THE PROBLEM OF WASTE DISPOSAL IN RAILWAY TRANSPORT

Abstract. The solving of environmental problems is becoming one of the priorities of Russia's development. The impact of rail transport on the environment is quite high. This article is about current stituation of the problem of waste disposal in railway transport. The analysis of the pollution generation system was carried out, the main types of waste and ways of handling them were identified. The causes of harmful emissions from railway transport enterprises were investigated. The current results of improving the system of education and waste disposal are presented. Strategic goals in thesection of ecological development of railway transport enterprises are considered. The negative impact of railway transport on the environment requires continuous comprehensive preventive work. Based on the conducted research, the author revealed that every year this influence causes more and more damage, which has already acquired a global character. It is necessary to develop the new technologies and methods of waste management in the railway industry.
