NANOMATERIALS AND NANOTECHNOLOGY TOOLS.

OPPORTUNITIES AND LIMITATIONS OF THE NANOINDUSTRY

Annotation. The current stage of scientific and technological development is characterized by the active intervention of" science "in the creation and use of materials, devices and technical systems, the functioning of which is determined by their nanostructural features and stimulates our desire to better understand the meaning of the terms fashionable today with the prefixes" techno "and" nano", due to the fact that, recently, there have been too many authors of scientific publications that interpret these concepts in a very peculiar way. This area of scientific and technological development is called "nanotechnology" and includes, in particular, in the practice of Russian legislation, regulatory documents and scientific and industrial practice, various areas of business and production, where the term "nanotechnology "is used as a generalization:" nanoscience"," nanotechnology", and sometimes even"nanoindustry". However, from the scientific point of view, and from the point of view of the authors of the article [1], such a generalization is not always applied legitimately, since any of the above-mentioned terms has its own boundaries and meanings. They are interconnected and, moreover, the achievements of "nanoscience" create conditions and opportunities that ensure the development of "nanotechnology" and, only then, "nanoindustry".

Key words: "nanoscience", "nanostructure", "nanotechnology", "nanoindustry", "nanoparticles", "nanomaterials", " nanoobjects».
