BIOFUEL PRODUCTION AS A COMPONENT OF CREATING A CIRCULAR ECONOMY

Annotation. The relevance of the work is determined by the current trajectory of increasing emissions, leading to the commitments of the country's leadership to achieve zero emissions. Over the past few years, the risks associated with climate change have become more urgent, and in combination with the global pandemic and the growing demand for energy, there is a call for action at all levels. One of the possible ways to facilitate this process is the development of bioenergy, which can minimize the impact of energy production on the environment. Russia has a significant resource potential, including waste from the timber industry, and agriculture (its products are not involved in secondary turnover), so in the future it may become a fairly serious exporter of components for biofuels to the world market. The paper substantiates the possibility of creating a circular economy through the production of biofuel components based on refineries.

Keywords: biofuels, bioenergy, renewable energy sources, fuel and energy complex, energy transition.
