APPLICATION OF SORBENTS IN OIL SPILL RESPONSE MADE ON THE BASIS OF PRODUCTION AND CONSUMPTION WASTES
Annotation. The article deals with the problem of environmental pollution by oil and oil-products, as well as the search for solutions to the latter by using sorbents. At present, a wide range of different sorbents is known, differing in origin and a number of operational properties. When choosing the latter, oil companies face the problems of high production cost of their consumption. The author has revealed that preference should be given to sorbents obtained on the basis of production wastes. This is conditioned, first of all, by the fact that, firstly: the latter are cheaper and competitive not only in terms of production cost, but also in terms of most operational characteristics; secondly - it is consistent with the policy of introducing recyclable materials and solving the problem of waste utilization, as the cycle of waste management provides rational use and economical consumption of natural resources of the environment. These approaches correspond to the currently developing cyclic economy, which has a closed nature and contributes to the development of the oil industry.
