THE CURRENT-VOLTAGE CURVE AUTO TRACER DEVICE FOR PHOTOVOLTAIC CONVERTERS

Annotation. A device for automatic trace of current-voltage characteristic (I-V curve) of photovoltaic converters in two versions with MOSFETs as a controlled electronic load has been developed. The first version of the device is used to trace traditional I-V curve in the first quadrant of the current-voltage axis at it positive values. The second version of the device can be used to trace complete I-V curve in a wide voltage range including negative branch, which allows to fully experimentally analyze the electrical parameters of the solar cells in the mode of generation and consumer of electricity, as well as evaluate the efficiency of the solar cells under various environmental conditions, including with uneven illumination of the photosensitive surface.
Key words: solar energy, photovoltaic systems, PV module efficiency, complete I–V curve tracer, digital measuring electronic unit with bipolar power supply, electronic load, four quadrant power supply.
